About Me
Hi guys! My name is Angela and I'm the founder of Youth in Dentistry :)) I'm a junior from California. My organization is hoping to engage the newer generation in dentistry as well as the medical field through the digital platform. I started this organization due to COVID-19, since all the dental offices are postponed, I would like to help and educate people about how to take care of their oral health during the pandemic. I enjoy learning about dentistry and would like to start the pre-dental route in college.

Vice Chair - Nghi Tang
Hello everyone! My name is Nghi Tang and I am a current freshman attending UCLA! I joined Youth in Dentistry in the hope that I can contribute to this amazing organization that is dedicated to inform and educate our youths on the importance of oral health, as well as access to dental care. I became interested in dentistry when I shadowed a community clinic that provided free dental services for those without health insurance. In pursuing dentistry, I wish to combat the prevalent lack of access to dental care for those in underdeveloped communities. Aside from that, my other hobbies include playing the piano, listening to music, crocheting, embroidering, and other arts and crafts!
Secretary - Katie Borshov
Hello! I’m Katie Borshov, a 4th year Pre-dental student at The Ohio State University. I have always been passionate about mentorship, education and dentistry so I find great joy in working with Youth in Dentistry as Secretary. I plan to attend dental school in the following year, 2022. Besides working with Youth in Dentistry, I also run my own pre-dental blog!
Public Relation Chair - Janessa Tang
hello there! My name is Janessa, and I am part of the Outreach and PR team at Youth in Dentistry. I joined Youth in Dentistry to learn more about pediatric dentistry and oral health. I am passionate about supporting marginalized and vulnerable communities and increasing access to healthcare. In my free time you can catch me reading lots of books, watching kdramas, jamming at the piano, and practicing faux calligraphy. I am obsessed with all things matcha, and I am always on the lookout for new food and cafes to try!
